After driving 467 miles west we arrived at our planned stop at the Whiskey Ridge Beef Company which is a Harvest Host destination. We pulled into the farm and Morgan met us and we proceeded to purchase some grass fed beef. It was a good thing that we had been eating out of the freezer for the past week or so. Morgan was then going to take us to the site which was located a few miles away in a field. It looked like a big storm was coming and after verifying on weather apps we were concerned that we might get stuck in the mud. We decided if we were going to stay we would do so on the gravel near Morgan’s house. We moved and double checked the weather app and saw a yellow and red watch/warning boxes, so we decided to move on. We were so concerned regarding the weather that we didn’t even take a picture of the place. We found a campground about 45 miles down the road closer to our next destination. It’s a good thing we left, our Son-In-Law, Matt said that storm was at 50,000 feet-a bad storm!!

Got to see this beautifully painted on the way:

We were able to book a site and off we drove trying to stay ahead of the rain.

We were able to stay dry until we got to the town of Limon, CO the home of Trailing Edge Park. We pulled in during the rain and the park host, Cindy Beckett told us where our spot was and we could keep the truck hooked up. We waited for the rain to subside before hooking up and paying for our site.

We stayed in all evening and caught up on some TV since we hadn’t had satellite coverage in the barndominium.

Up and out the next morning to continue our travels west to Granby, CO where we would be spending the next month.
