We left Angel Fire and drove up to Westminster, CO to stay at the Elks Lodge. I joined the Elks a few years ago because there are over 400 lodge locations that offered campsites. The Westminster one has a lot of sites with full hookups – perfect for leaving the Busse Bus II there whilst we take our truck up to Winter Park to stay in our townhouse. The drive was very interesting as we passed these:
We got to the lodge and got set up with plenty of time to head over to the Arvada Center of the Arts and Humanities to see two bands: Walk Off the Earth and Andy Grammar. What a great venue:
I had never heard of Walk Off the Earth before, I a gotta tell you – they were throughly entertaining.
We didn’t know one of their songs, but we sure had fun listening to them.
The band had the instrument pictured created especially for them so that they all could play it together. It was really cool to watch, particularly when one of the stage hands brought a “shotski” with kazoos mounted on it and they all played it at the same time. One member even brought their son out on stage to play and sing – he was surprisedly good!
The headliner, Andy Grammar was really good too.
Andy was great and we knew a lot of his songs. It was so much fun singing along.

The next day we got to watch Rylan at his swim lessons. He’s getting so good! Afterwards, we all went to Big Daddy’s to get some burgers. Great food!
Then Katrina and I headed back to the Lodge to pack up the truck with our necessities before heading up to the townhouse for the next five weeks.
