On the drive up to Blanchard I saw this sign on the road:

I wondered to myself “which game? Monopoly? Clue? Risk? I never saw which one. Bummer!

We stayed at the Stoneridge Motorcoach Resort which was beautiful! Lots for sale in the midst of all the natural beauty and along side a golf course.

The place had beautiful sunsets:

Check this one out:

I don’t know how they grow these fantastic flowers way north up there, but everywhere we looked we saw baskets like these:

We had a wonderful dinner and a lot of people stopped by and introduced themselves:

We made new friends – Angela and Stan Garner who also own a Newmar Dutch Star!

We also reunited with the Godfreys who dropped off Alan’s son and picked up Sheila’s dad, Ed. The next day Sheila’s brother, Brad, came in from the Portland area. Turns out that Brad used to work for Bob Rohrman in the Chicago area and knows our old Mundelein neighbors, Pam and Glenn Bockwinkel. Pam was the CFO for the Rohrman Group. It is a small world! Here’s a goofy picture of Brad and me:

The Godfreys played golf a few days and told us that the course was very nice. The rest of us played pickleball and spent time at the pool and hot tub. We also looked at some lots that were available for sale. We really liked one, particularly because the owners gave us drinks for happy hour, but decided that this location was just too far away. The site already had a casita and wonderful outdoor living areas built and they were asking $189,000. Seemed like a great price!

We liked the place so much that we added a few days! Since we had extra time now, we headed into Spirit Lake

for lunch at a place called “Messy Burgers”. Try to guess what we ordered? You guessed it right!

Check out this cute town:

We stopped at the office and asked to borrow a golf cart to view the area because we might be interested in purchasing a lot. We were able to ride around the golf course and see the properties. Very pretty!

The next day the Browns and Busses drove up to a town called Sandpoint.

We wanted to have lunch on the water, but the only place we could find was “The Burger Dock”.

Since we just had burgers, I ordered a salad. While the girls got a little shopping in at a neat place Cedar Street Bridge Public Market,

Stan and I found a bakery called Panhandler Pies to buy a pie. We couldn’t decide on which one so we bought two – a strawberry rhubarb and a razzle (cherry, boysenberry and huckleberry). We had to hurry back to Stoneridge and we were having a farewell dinner with the Godfreys, the Browns, the Garners, and the Busses.

The following day the Godfreys headed up towards Portland and the Garners headed to Kennewick and then Bend. The Browns and Busses would continue on together for the next few weeks.
