What a “western” town this is!  Abode buildings, city square, local Native Americans selling their wares laid out on blankets.  Very quaint.  Almost every building downtown has put luminaries on their parapets making a very festive holiday season.  Check out this pictures:

Yes, that is snow!  A bit cold here, but not a polar vortex nor Africa hot either.  The first night we had to turn our heaters on.  We didn’t know how and it didn’t work automatically.  Started freezing so we called Newmar to ask the stupid newbie question on how to get the heat on.  Finally figured out myself while waiting for a call back.

Note to self:  Turn on the burner to get the heat exchangers working!

Santa Fe is also an artsy community and one of America’s most famous artists, Georgia O’Keefe has a museum here which we checked out.  Here are some of her paintings:

One of these things is not like the other.  Try your skill at picking out the framed artwork that Georgia did not paint.  I know it is difficult, but with a little hard work I’m confident that you can do it!  That’s right, it’s me.

We hit Ten Thousand Waves spa for some nice massages.  It was the first time that I had an hour and a half massage instead of the standard 50 minutes.  It was heaven.  Sorry, no pictures.  The place is awesome and we were able to relax in the heated pools prior to the massage.  In the words of Lawrence Welk (sorry I had to sit and watch that show with my folks when I was knee-high to a grasshopper): Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!!

We stayed at the Trailer Ranch RV Resort outside of town.  A nice place, but I have to admit I was a bit skeptical when I booked it with that name.  Apparently the saying is true: Don’t judge a book by its cover.
