We had planned on leaving Lenwood Beach and Campground and head to our next destination, Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Caledonia, WI but check-in wasn’t until 3pm and they couldn’t take us earlier as we had plans on Geneva Lake. Barb and Bob were gracious enough to let us park by their house and watch Bear for the day so that we could go and meet up with our friends of 30 years. We had to drive about 1.5 hours to get to the lake and once we were there we got abroad “Summer Never Ends” for a day on the lake. John & Sarah Eichmann own the boat, Rob & Kristin Joy, Daryl & Lucinda Primrose, and Katrina & I had a wonderful day tooling around one of the most beautiful lakes in the country.

All eight of us met while we were living in Mundelein, IL in a neighborhood called Fields of Ambria. We got out to swim a few times, had a picnic on the boat, and got to stop and see Susie Vanderveld, a friend of ours from the Myakka River Motorcoach Resort. Susie showed us her house:

After we disembarked, we walked over to Chuck’s

to have dinner before heading back up to the Odells.

Cheers!

It was a long and tiring day, but one filled with friends and laughter. Boy, we did some crazy things back in the day! Thank you John and Sarah for the boat ride!

Thank you Barb and Bob for letting us stay there and watching Bear for us! We really appreciated it! Barb took some great pictures of our coach and Bear:

The next morning Barb insisted on feeding us before we left and Bob made delicious omelets. Really above and beyond!

Here’s our parting picture in front of the Busse Bus:

Thank you both!
