We left the Wills after a mammoth time and headed south to get our Dish Satellite fixed, add Rettrobands to our front tires (I’ll discuss those more later), and get new tires for the front of the Busse Bus.

We drove down to the southwest side of Nashville to meet the technician from RF Mogul in the parking lot near a Home Depot. We wanted a large area with no trees in order to fix our satellite dish to insure that we could find the open skies. The technician, John and his wife drove about two hours to meet us.

In about two hours he had replaced the control box, replaced some wiring, swapped out the GPS module, added LED lighting (we have never had) and tested all four TVs to insure that everything was working. What a great experience! We definitely recommend RF Mogul for all your satellite needs.

After that we drove across town to National Indoors Recreational Vehicles Center (NIRVC) to get the Rettrobands and new tires installed. In a Class A Motorcoach you should replace your tires every 5-7 years regardless of the mileage. We decided to replace the front ones this year and then we’ll do the other six next year. The front tires are the critical ones because if you have a blow out it can grab your coach and drive you Into the ditch. So at 5.5 years and 61,000 miles we are replacing them.

Because we were going though the pain and expense to replacing the front tires we decided to add the Rettrobands to the wheels as well for added security. Rettrobands are hard plastic ”boots” that fit over the hubs inside the rubber of the tires. They clamp together and then the tires are installed. NIRVC is the only place that you can get the Rettrobands. We will feel much safer driving down the road!

We were able to find an excellent dog park called Bark Springs where Bear was able to run free. He loves to smell new areas. Afterwards we took him to get a bath at the nearby Tractor Supply which had a dog wash. So good to have clean dog.

Since we had some time on our hands we scheduled to see the Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit. What an unique experience! His work translated into a sensory experience through visuals projected onto the walls and floor that went along with music.

We moved the Busse Bus over to the Nashville KOA Resort because we planned on spending a couple of days in the area without doing any repairs on the coach.

They had some pickleball courts:

Not the best courts, but they at least allowed us to get some practice in.

That evening we headed over to Etch for dinner which was the same place we had dinner at three years ago with Matt Anderson and Sabrina Acker. I had wanted to go again because last time I was stilled concussed from my scooter fall.

Just kidding – that would be dangerous!

Funny thing was that we sat in the same seats at the counter, I ordered the same entree, and when we were speaking with our server explaining our prior visit another server walked by and said that she remembered us.

Katrina and I split the tofu which was so good!

Afterwards we walked down to Broadway

(Looks like COVID is over) and went into Luke Bryant’s establishment. We worked our way to the top floor where we found spots along the rail and could look down at the band and the crowd. So many bachelorette parties! We were amused watching a couple of drunk people dancing around.

The next day Nicole Day picked us up and we went to watch Garrett Calhoun play baseball. Garrett is the son of a good friend of ours, Karen Meserve, who sadly passed away about a year prior to us taking this adventure. After Garrett’s game ended they took us to Arrington Vineyards which was a fantastic place with beautiful grounds and people picnicing listening to the band.

Good thing Nicole packed snacks for us.

The wine was surprising good. Apparently they insource the grapes and create the wine on site.

We left just before the rain started. We stopped at Jonathon’s for dinner. It was a decent meal and great stop to catch up on life. Great seeing them again!

The next morning we got up early to drive to met up with friends.
