Leaving the Hockstra’s was sad, but we knew that we would be back in a few weeks. The short drive was affected by high winds which made keeping the Busse Bus II on my side of the two-lane difficult. Obviously, we made it or I wouldn’t be communicating with y’all now. We headed further north to the Traverse City area and stayed at the Traverse Bay RV Resort.

It was a nice resort where Class A, Class B and fifth-wheelers could purchase lots.

We were in the exact same spot that we were in a couple of years ago.

It sure was hot when we parked! Look at my tire marks on the street:

Kris and Jessie Minton (former Myakkans) were also staying there because Jessie show horses and Traverse has a huge complex. We decided to meet up at Red Ginger for an early dinner. Katrina and I headed downtown early to visit the Traverse City Elks Lodge #323.

What a great lodge! Right across the street from Traverse Bay.

We had a wonderful early dinner at the Red Ginger. Katrina and I decided to share some appetizers. So good. Got the Traverse City mural with the Mintons:

Afterwards, we headed over to the Low Bar – a speakeasy!

Wanna see a ghost?

Great little place with delicious cocktails – the Boss was fantastic!

Our last stop of the night was Dillinger’s Pub for a nightcap.

The next day we took a quick bike ride around the RV resort and got to say our goodbyes to the Mintons. Good luck Jessie at the horse shows! See y’all again in a few weeks!
