After another wonderful winter season at the Myakka River Motorcoach Resort (MRMR) we headed out for this years’ adventures. I have found that year after year I get very nonchalant about keeping my blog up to date during the MRMR season and each year I promise myself that I will do better. Well, I didn’t! I will try to “fill in the blanks” along the way, but wanted to start this travel season out right away. Anywho…

Dawn of the new travel season (we left early enough to get this picture):

started on May 7th with us heading up towards Red Bay, AL to get some annual work done on the Busse Bus. It is always with mixed emotions pulling through the gates of MRMR knowing that we won’t be back for months.

Katrina has been busy planning our summer travels and although she hasn’t completed the entire trip yet, here is where we plan on going:

Alaska! Can you believe it? We went there in 2018 soon after getting into this lifestyle, but this time will be so much better because 1) Katrina isn’t working, and 2) we will be traveling with our MRMR neighbors, Jeff and Molli Wills. Should be a great trip! You will have to stay tuned to find out!

Our first stop was at Katrina’s brothers’ house in Madeira Beach, FL to see Derek. It was great catching up with him.

From there we drove up to a new to us campground called the Hitching Post in Cottondale, FL. The owner lost her husband about a year after they started the campground and she has been running it ever since. A very patriotic place for $30 / night!

Bear loved seeing the goat, pigs and chickens!

After a long day on the road and still not out of Florida we ate in and hit the hay early.
