After leaving our friends in Lexington we headed down to the Knoxville, TN area to mooch-dock at Tracy and David Hawk’s house. Along the way we got to see some trees changing colors getting ready for winter:

Beautiful scenery! What was also beautiful was our spot at the Hawks!

They have a tennis court but over the past year or so they have become pickleball fanatics and will be turning it into pickleball courts. They really got the fever! That was perfect because Katrina could join them in the mornings to play.

We enjoyed some yummy leftovers as they had just hosted a rehearsal dinner for their daughter and were planning on heading south on Sunday. It was really good!

David was busy the next morning so the three of us went to the Smoky Mountain Brewery for lunch and beers. What a quaint place:

One of their pickleball friends happened to be there so we got a picture with him as well!

David joined us for dinner and we went to Calhoun’s.

The food was very tasty!

We then met up with some pickleballers for a few games of Singo. Think bingo but with songs instead of numbers!

What a fun variation on the game! Of course, Shazam helped tremendously!

Tracy, David and Katrina played some more pickleball and on the way home they stopped at Benton’s for some famous hams and bacon:

Restaurants from New York City get their maple smoked bacon from Benton’s. I can’t wait to try it!

Since they were heading out the next day they had to get packing. Katrina and I met some Myakka River Motorcoach Resort friends, Dave and LuAnn Wallace, out for dinner at The Boating Club

located in the Fort London Marina.

Such a nice time catching up with them!

The next morning we headed out on our way to the Hoots Rally in Hilton Head. Since the drive was long we stayed a night along the way.

Thank you David and Tracy! Loved the stop and appreciate your hospitality! Safe travels!
