We left Ari and Matt with sad hearts and continued our journey to Newmar’s Headquarters in Nappanee, IN. Check out the service center building at night:
Pretty colors! We take our coach there annually just to have them check out all the systems to make sure that we are always road worthy. We got set up in a spot in their ”campground”:
We got there in time to head over to Justin & Ashley Bradley’s house to watch the fireworks off their deck. The Bradley’s are friends of ours through Justin’s mom, Janice, who used to work with Katrina back in the BeautiControl years. Ashley and Justin have two adorable boys, Dylan and Conner who are always a hoot to be around. Justin lit off some personal fireworks while we waited for the big show:
Here’s a couple of pictures from the big show:
The next morning our technician, Rory, showed up at 6:00am to go over our requests and then took the Busse Bus into the workshop. Rory has always been the technician assigned to work on our rig. He knows it better than we do!
Since it wasn’t raining, Janice invited us out on a friend of hers, Ed and Brenda Snyder, pontoon boat on Jimmerson Lake. What a beautiful boat!
I mean it was 31 foot long, 10 1/2 feet wide and had a 600 hp motor! We cruised around the lake until the rain started and then we headed back to their house. From there, Janice, Katrina and I stopped at Casa Azteca Mexican Restaurant in Angola before heading back to Nappanee and the coach. Decent food!
The next day Katrina, Bear and I hung around the waiting area until lunch and then we headed into the downtown area to eat at Hunters Hideaway.
Great burgers! Bear enjoyed the kids’ cheeseburger:
That evening we went back over to the Bradley’s for a delicious meal of steak and vegetables. Katrina got to play with their boys:
We also took a couple of pictures with Ashley:
And one with Janice:
As well as the entire crew:
Since our coach had all the necessary checks completed we had a free day. I putted around the Busse Bus making some changes / updates while Katrina went shopping with Janice. She was able to take some pictures of the artwork that is all around the streets of Nappanee. Check them out:
The theme this year was ”hearts”.
That evening I met up with Janice and Katrina at Ruhe 152 for dinner. What a nice place in downtown Nappanee!
Great food!
The following day we left to head to Dayton to meet our son, Keenans’, girlfriend Sarah. Oh yeah, remember that when you are in Nappanee to ”embrace the pace”:
