After stepping on four states and two nations at the same time we continued our trek east and south to settle at a Harvest Host called Junkyard on 66 Brewery in Grants, NM. What an interesting stop! We parked in a cleared area of an old junkyard and worried about running over some car part that would pop a tire. We got situated without an issue and headed into the structure to taste a beer and grab a bite to eat.

The interior was very interesting because the bar and tables were constructed out of old car or truck parts. Our table was the tailgate from an old Chevy truck.

The beer was decent and the burgers were pretty good.

We made a quick trip to pick up some food and supplies before honkering in for the evening. The wind was blowing hard against the coach all night and we worried that we would get some paint damage on the side of the coach. Upon inspection the next morning we found that we had persevered the evening without a scratch!

Off onto the next stop towards getting back to Myakka – Amarillo – bonus we get to see Tracy and Chuck!

OMG! Barbara grew up in Grants. Her Mom still lives there. We’ll have to check out the brewery next time we visit.

That’s hilarious! What a different type of place. You should give it a try.
