We headed west from Ohio to Nappanee, IN, the headquarters of Newmar. We had scheduled our appointment about nine months ago to coincide with our travel plans. We needed to get the three year maintenance items taken care of. Nappanee is not an exciting town by any means, but it’s always good to go there to see our friends, Justin and Ashley Bradley, their two boys and, hopefully, Janice (Justin’s mother and a former BeautiControler) will swing by from her neighboring home town of Avilla. It’s also nice to run into Newmarians that we have met along the way and also make new acquaintances.

That evening, the Bradley’s invited us over to dinner. Janice was in town visiting them, so it was an added bonus! It was wonderful sitting in their backyard watching their boys play like boys do. Here’s a picture of Dylan being a cutie on the couch:

Check out his footwear. It reminds me of our son, Keenan, so many years ago.

Since Janice was in town we were able to catch an early dinner with her at the Hunters Hideaway the next day.

Janice had never seen the Busse Bus so we stopped by the coach to show it off.

The following day Katrina went over to Avilla to see Janice’s salon, the Perfect Chic Boutique and to have a girls luncheon.

The girls looked like they had a nice lunch and afternoon.

What was supposed to be our last evening at Newmar, we got to catch up with our friends from Olde Beau, Debbie and Glen Hooten. We decided to try a new place (at least to us) called Ruhe 152. We actually tried the place last year but we were unable to go in as they had a case of COVID-19 and they were temporarily closed.

So nice seeing them again!

We needed to extend one day because during normal maintenance, our technician, Rory, did not like the way our full wall slide gasket was looking and wanted to replace it. That’s the reason we do annual maintenance – to take care of potential problems before they occur. Rory has been the same technician that has worked on the Busse Bus since we started going to Newmar.

$3,300 later, we were on our way. Hopefully without any issues along the way! Heading to the Chicago area.
