Stayed at Clay’s Park Resort in North Lawrence, OH, just south of Akron. Great park with a lot of day activities. Season just opened so there wasn’t a lot of people there yet.
We met up with Anne and Ant Cannon (old BeautiControl friend) whom we met up with two years ago. They brought us wonderful street tacos from Funky Truckeria and we played “Oh Frock” and drank the moonshine that we had previously purchased.
Great catching up with them!
Katrina went shopping with Anne the next day while I worked on this blog. We met them for dinner at the Gervasi Winery. What a fabulous place!
They also had a distillery.
We got to try both the wines and the spirits over a wonderful dinner!
Fantastic food!
It rained the following day so Katrina and I stayed close to the Busse Bus until after lunch and then drove over to see the football HOF.
Very interesting! Learned a few things about my Chicago Bears.
For instance, when the league was very young (circa 1920’s) a college superstar saved the league. His named was Red Grange, “The Galloping Ghost” from the University of Illinois!
Such a great Alma Mater!
Afterwards we headed over to the Cannon’s for a homemade meal. Anne made some turkey meatballs with a peanut sauce that was outstanding! Also, wonderful famous Mitchell’s Homemade ice cream!
We played Rummikub and Tenzi until it was time to leave.
The next morning we packed up and headed to the mothership (Newmar) in Nappanee, IN to get our three year maintenance work done on the house side of the Busse Bus.

We had so much fun! Thanks for “ popping in”! Weather didn’t deter us from seeing some more local sites & enjoying our time together! Next time let’s do summer or fall!
