We headed out from Deer Creek and went north to stay at a Harvest Host called Applalachian Distillery in Ripley, WV. On the drive up we passed through a tunnel, which is always scary when the Busse Bus is 14 foot tall.

I just watched the bus in front of me for any damage! Yesterday tunnels on bikes, today in the bus.

I determined that I do not like distilled spirits that are made with 90% corn mash. Katrina liked the Strawberry Lemonade one so we purchased a pint.

Right next door there was a restaurant called The Fairplain Yacht Club. Funny because we were landlocked. I got a chicken skillet plate and it was pretty good.

The distillery sits next to the Jackson County Regional Livestock Market and when we read reviews people stated that it was noisy all night. Luckily for us the market was not in session so it was very quiet all night. Actually I was a bit eerie so I kept our protection nearby.

Up early the next morning to head to Ohio and visit with our friends.
