Together with the Godfrey’s, we had a long drive to get from Zion, Utah to Evanston, Wyoming where we stayed at a Harvest Host. Uinta Lanes was a bowling alley that allowed a few coaches to stay in the parking lot.

Unfortunately, due to COVID, the bowling alley was closed, but the owner, Mike still allowed us to stay there. We were really looking forward to bowling! Oh well, the sacrifices one makes during this pandemic!

We went to Don Pedro’s Family Mexican restaurant for dinner.

Apparently the margaritas were strong as a patron was stumbling on the way out when we went in! I guess we weren’t in Utah anymore. The food was really good and the place was packed.

Limiting myself to one marg, the drive back to Uinta was uneventful.

Upon returning to our coaches, the owner, Mike, stopped by to chat and stayed for an hour as we had a few beers and talked about life in Evanston. He told us that it didn’t get too cold there and that in average year that there was only about six days with -20 degrees. Yikes – too cold for me now.

We did get a great sunset:

Up and out the next day to another Harvest Host – looking forward to the Hot Springs!
