Pulled the Trigger

After spending the majority of early 2020 looking at all the Motorcoach Resorts up and down the west coast of Florida we decided to purchase a lot at Myakka River Motorcoach Resort (MRMR). There were a lot of reasons why we zoned in on MRMR – the biggest were location (relatively close to the Gulf of Mexico), the people that we met there, the relatively larger size of the casita that you can build, the activities (pickleball, kayaking, shooting, biking), the beautiful clubhouse and pool, and the size of the development (99 lots). We determined that we wanted a lot on one of the three lakes and kept an eye on all lots for sale.

After a few days of negotiations with the owner, we settled on a price that we thought was fair and came to an agreement. We used an attorney recommended by the Myakka office who represented both sides and we were able to close within two weeks.

We finally own a piece of property with a palm tree! So excited! We can’t wait to spend the next season down there.
