Probably not the best name for a campground!  Pulled into The Last Resort around 3:30 – back into Central Time.  The Last Resort is located in Valparaiso, IN.  The place is at 100% capacity as the Indiana COVID bans just released in this county.  Lots of American Flags flying due to Memorial Day weekend.

We decided to park the Busse Bus there and continue by truck up to visit with Ari and Matt for a couple of days.  I was a little scared leaving the Busse Bus unattended, especially with a broken lock on the front door (took full pictures of coach).  Illinois is still closed so it was very weird having to wear masks going into stores.  Restaurants were carry out only.  We did manage to get to Portillo’s for an Italian Beef, Clucker’s for Brick Chicken, and Lou’s for a real deep dish pizza!  All very tasty!

Had a wonderful time with the Anderson’s – cooking, ordering out, playing golf with Matt, and playing games.

They taught us the Pandemic board game at which we saved the world twice and failed once.  We got to sit down on the patio in their apartment complex near the unopened pool.  On our final night there, Illinois opened restaurants outdoor areas.  We were able to hit North Shore Distillery and then dinner in downtown Libertyville at Milwauky Trace.  I wish that we would have had them around during all of our quarantined time.

Kat was able to get out and have her nails done and walk around Independence Grove with some Mundelein friends:

Upon returning to The Last Resort, we found the coach in great shape – just as we left it!  On the drive down we called Wood Design who was going to change out our kitchen furniture and reupholster some of our fabrics to make the Busse Bus more us.  They needed us in Nappanee on Saturday as being an Amish company they do not work on Sundays.  We had to hightail it down there before 3:30 so that they could take our chairs and valances out of the coach for the upholstering.  Made it in time even though we got slowed down for this:

Not sure what was going on – some sort of tribute to someone or some group.

The following week and a half we plan on being in Nappanee getting work done on the coach and making the modifications.  Hopefully the couch that we ordered from California will make it there in time (manufacturing was delayed due to COVID).
