Our next stop in finding a RV Lot was Bay Lake Resort which is near Orlando – a.k.a. WDW! I know that it doesn’t fit the bill of close to water, but it’s close to Disney World and we know our kids would come visit us – for sure!
All types of RVs are allowed to purchase lots here. Lots of opened lots and the place has been in business for about seven years. The monthly HOA fees aren’t very much as well. Has got me wondering – What am I missing?

Right outside of our spot there were electrical poles and atop one of them was an eagle’s nest.
American bald eagle! Very cool! I didn’t know that they nested in Florida.
A nice couple, Dee and Randy Griffiths, that we met at the Kingston KOA in Canada also own here. They were terrific hosts and were able to show us around and introduce us to the developer. They even took us to Bay Lake’s pot luck dinner! Thanks Dee and Randy!
We were also interested in another more mature resort that was across the expressway called Mt. Olive Shores – North (MOSN). Well developed place with a few lots left.
Overall, we did not feel like either of these two places checked enough of our boxes to actually buy here. The biggest box that they checked was WDW. But, the other ones were left unchecked. We decided to review more places.
