Parked the coach at the Ameri-Can resort in Melbourne for about ten days as we flew over to Palm Springs to enjoy Christmas with our kids. We chose to stay there because our friends, Dave and KeithAnn own the spot and offered it to us at no charge! What great people we have met along the way!
It was a tight fit, but David drove over from Fort Myers to park our rig for us. Glad he did! Thank you David and KeithAnn for letting us squat for a while!
Before we headed over to Orlando to catch our flight to Palm Springs we were able to see a rocket launch from Cape Canaveral. It was the ULA Atlas V Boeing CST-100 Starliner Orbital Flight Test 0 uncrewed (sorry, Keenan works at NASA so I had to be accurate) and the lift off occurred at 6:45 am – in the dark! Beautiful!
It was the first rocket launch that I have seen since witnessing the last Challenger lift-off. This one was much better than watching that fateful shuttle.
After returning from Palm Springs, we spent about two hours here packing up and heading back up to Orlando to spend New Year’s with Newmar friends of ours at Fort Wilderness.
