We drove down to Bonita Lakes RV Resort, which is outside of Bonita Springs.  The place is nice, but with a lot of park models.  That usually lends itself to be a “trailer park”, but this place was very clean.

The best part was the location – close to Kat’s mom, Rita.  We would be spending the next month or so helping Rita get ready to move from her single family three bedroom house on a lake to an one bedroom condo.  A lot of packing, cleaning, and measuring the new place to see what furniture fits where.

We also got to put the Bak Flip cover on the RAM 1500 – I need to come up with a name for the new vehicle.  RAM 1500 just doesn’t cut it.  Also, we got a new tow bar installed on the RAM 1500 so that we could drag it behind the Busse Bus.

During our visit in the Bonita Springs area, it happened to be “Sizzle” Week (Restaurant Week back in Chicago) which is where the restaurants offer special groupings of food at reduced prices.  We were able to get out with Rita multiple times (Mexican, Seafood, and a Diner) and take advantage of these deals.  One night we even got out with Kat’s brother, Darin and his wife Lisa:

Great dinner at Deep Lagoon Seafood in Fort Myers!

Another night we met up with Brad Anderson (Matt’s dad) and his wife, Kelly at the Blue Point Oyster Bar and Seafood Grill in Fort Myers.  Sorry, forgot to take a picture – I guess we were having too much fun!  Another excellent restaurant!

We were able to take Bear to the local dog park.  I’d like to tell you that he made a new friend, but we steered clear of this one:

Having packed up Mom as much as possible, we headed out.  It was sure nice staying in one place for awhile.  We were able to get a lot of things accomplished.
