Stayed at the St. Augustine KOA.  It was an Ok place that was convenient to the beach and restaurants.

We could walk Bear to the shoreline:

Bear found another “friend” to play with…

Since St. Augustine is allegedly where Pone de Leon discovered the Fountain of Youth we ventured out into the city to find it.  But, first we went to see the Castillo de San Marcos – a fort to protect the city.  You can see the Spanish influence in the architecture.

Explored the downtown area

and ended up at the Mi Casa Cafe.  A couple of guys were playing and singing so we sat down for a drink and a listen.

Turns out that they were from Chicago.  Requested “Turn the Page”, which they played.  I’m not sure why we started with this song, but now it’s a thing so we have to keep on doing it!  Perhaps “On the Road Again” would have been more appropriate.  There were some great signs around the bar.

After watching for awhile, we continued our tour of the area.

There was a beautiful cathedral:

Notice the Spanish influence?

We found a local place named Tini Martini Bar and headed in for a drink before going over to the O.C. White’s Seafood and Spirits.  Good food, although we were there a bit early for our liking.  We did grab a picture with a local:

Arg!

The following day we continue our hunt for a new vehicle, particularly the RAM 1500 truck – we also needed to get some pricing.  Really liking the Limited and the Longhorn.  Dodge is currently running a promotion for “employee pricing”, but it is only good on 2019’s, not 2020’s.  I’m thinking to myself that if I buy a 2019 in December that it already has one year of depreciation on it.  Got to work that one into my negotiations!
