After dropping off AriAnders we drove up to the Quebec City KOA in Levis, which is across the bridge from Quebec City proper.  After getting set up we decided to chill a bit before heading out to dinner.  We found a restaurant just down the street in Levis called Cuisine du Marche:

Great little quaint place!  I had my first lobster roll (chunks of lobster in a creamy sauce on a hoagie bun) and Kat had the steak.  Lovely find.

The next day we headed into old Quebec City to check it out.  Since it was lunch time we found a great place called Don.  We didn’t realize that it was a vegetarian cuisine place until after we were seated.  We decided to stay and we were so glad that we did!  Excellent food.  They had a tuna tartare made with beets that was absolutely marvelous!

After Don, we ventured out to find the “old” Quebec, which we accomplished quite quickly.  Loved the architecture:

We headed up to see the Fairmont Frontenac – the iconic building of Quebec City.  Before we got there we discovered another little fun area of the city:

With this store – wait for it:

Leaving this special find, we headed up to see the Fairmont via walking around the LA Citadelle de Quebec.  The old fort that sits atop the hill and guarded the city below:

Off to see the Fairmont Frontenac:

Very beautiful place!  I wonder what a night goes for?  Probably more than our campsite.

There was a statue of some dude out front:

Actually it was erected to commemorate the founder of Quebec, Samuel De Champlain – see for yourself:

On the way to find a dinner location we saw some street performers:

Reminded me of the street performers that we saw in Key West, Florida.

We ate dinner at Bistro 1640:

We got a seat outside with a view of the Fairmont.  Beautiful location!  Great food and drinks as well:

We had a fantastic day exploring and eating our way through Quebec City.  So much to see and so much to eat.

Good thing that we brought our bikes as we needed some exercise and found a great path along the St. Lawrence River.  Got up to ride the next morning.  Great ride into the city to have breakfast:

I had excellent salmon Eggs Benedict!

Got back to our campground to drop off the bikes and pick up Bear so that we could go to see the Montmer Falls.  Beautiful falls:

We crossed the bridge:

To get to the other side….

Actually, we wanted to climb down the stairs to get to the bottom to see the falls from below.

Before we got too far down the steps, the dark clouds started to look like rain.  We decided to head back to the jeep.  Good thing, it started to downpour.  We got stuck in the rain and had a awful wet drive back to the Busse Bus.

After drying off, we went to dinner at Madison Chez Livernois.

Really good food And an awesome interior:

We walked up the street afterwards to find a creperie for dessert.

Perfect ending to a wonderful stay in Quebec City.  Loved this city!
