We got back into Atlanta on Monday and headed over to NIRVC to check on the coach.  We called on Friday and they were not able to look at it to determine what was wrong.  Monday came and went and they still were not able to look at it.  I thought that I was going to have to get in their face every hour so that they would work on it.  On Tuesday afternoon they looked at the coach and determined that we needed to have one solenoid replaced on the leveler.  They didn’t have one in stock and had to order it.  We needed to wait a few more days.  That meant we needed to cancel our Chattanooga stop altogether.

The good thing about being stuck in a parking lot for days with hardly a thing to do is threefold:

  1. Taking nice walks with Bear at the Rabbitt Hill Park.  Very nice trails.
  2. Looking at the new Newmar coaches and determining what new features that they have that we really like/want.  I had to be very careful here as Kat was getting the itch to supersize us ;).
  3. Meeting new people:
    1. Nona and Ron Milon from the Atlanta area who just picked up their new Dutch Star.  Ron was a pilot with Delta which we had in common due to Matt joining our family soon.  They were nice enough to have a nice Mexican dinner with before they headed back to their regular lives.
    2.  Keithann and Dave Wood who are full-timers as well and also had a Dutch Star and were having some minor issues repaired.  We met them over a fire pit one night – the fire pit we used was one on displayed in front of the sales area!  NIRVC said that it was alright as they wanted the display to look more authentic by being used.  Dave was also a pilot flying for FedEx.  Funny coincidence that their daughter was getting married on the same day as Ari and Matt in Dallas.  Another coincidence:  they were having work done on their coach at Newmar in Nappanee, IN the same week that we had scheduled – June 10th.  So we definitely run into them again!

Dave and Keithann:

Kat and I were able to run to the Meat House (from triple D’s – that’s Drive-ins, Diners and Dives) in Duluth.  Outstanding food!  Bacon appetizer to die for….

Beautiful looking bacon (and wife for that matter!).

After getting the coach ready to go ON FRIDAY, yes, FRIDAY, we were off to Nashville.
