So we pulled into the Texas Lakeside RV Resort a day late due to high winds the day before.  I’m not going to drive the broad-side of a barn down the highway with up to 40 mph cross winds.  I mean I’m crazy, but not stupid.  The resort looked extremely nice but we didn’t venture out besides to take the dogs out to do their business due to the rain.  Most of the north was experiencing a “Polar Vortex” and we had upper 50 degree weather with lot of rain.  We ate in for two days and did not even venture into the town to check it out.  Between the raindrops I was able to get these photos of the park:

Although rainy, it was productive as I got caught up with a number of blogs.  Therefore, my wet day translated into your joyful reading!

The best news is that it was a lot warmer than Chicago as Ari texted a clip from her weather app that stated -21 without wind chill.  Brrrr, I’ll take a day of rain.
