Port Aransas or Port A is located on North Padre Islands (Mustang, to be exact) just outside of Corpus Christi, Texas.   Miles of sand beaches that Bear loved to play on chasing the sea birds – he thinks that sooner or later that he will catch one!

Between the RV park and the beach are dunes which are kept there to prevent erosion and wooden walkways connect you to the sand.

We stayed Gulf Waters RV Resort which is a privately owned resort with amenities of a pool and a hot tub.  Both of those were closed for repairs, apparently we were there during their coldest month with the least amount of people.  They also have some houses for rent – here’s some pictures:

Kat and I went out for dinner on the first evening but could’nt really find a place that was open and looked great.  We ended up at Seafood & Spaghetti Works for an ok meal.  Restaurants here are going to be difficult to find to please our palate.

We felt like we were in a Hitchcock movie when we went into town and took these pictures:

For you younger readers: the movie is “The Birds”.

We did find a nice restaurant for sushi called Rock & Rolls when we headed back towards Corpus Christi.  Good sushi!

It was a little chilly so we were excited to head further south so onward to South Padre Islands.
