We left Anaheim RV Park without the capability to plug into shore power (50 amp) and in a new rental car as the last one had a flat tire and Enterprise replaced and upgraded us.  Pulled into Newport Dunes RV Park and found out that this place was awesome!  Nice spot right on the water with a walking path around the inlet and good restaurants within walking distance.

Kat found a great place to hit the little yellow ball and scheduled some playing time.  While she was out, Elise Swain (another BeautiControl woman) surprised us with a visit!

Of course, Bear had to get in the reunion celebration!

Elise took us on an excellent early morning bike ride with a friend of hers:

Kat went back to work so Elise and I ate breakfast at a quaint little cafe in the harbor. It was great getting to know Elise and sharing our stories with her.

The place reminded me of breakfast places that the Acker’s and us used to bike ride to on nice summer days back in Chicago.  Always enjoy being able to eat during a bike ride.

The next day our repairman came and swapped out our transfer switch so that we could use shore power again.  It’s nice to be able to run the air conditioning without having to run the generator.  Cool!

Took the dogs to the dog beach and let Bear run with other dogs until his heart was content.  Great place with interesting gardens:

Went to a nice dinner at R+D Kitchen on Fashion Island in Newport Beach with Elise, her husband Dave and step daughter Lolo.

Finished the evening seeing the Christmas tree lit (now it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas):

Thank you Elise for showing us your beautiful city and taking us to see the sights!  We really enjoyed spending time with you.
