Thousands of spawning, dying and dead salmon on the beach and trying to enter the nearby creeks is quite the sight to behold.

The birds were having a great time eating fish, flying up the creek and riding the current back out to the sea.  Nearby there was a fish hatchery where some lucky fish were able to swim up the ladder and end up in the holding tanks so that their eggs can be harvested to replenish the salmon supply for future years.

On the way back we were able to catch a bear fishing at the edge of the woods.

We drove up to Exit Glacier and were able to take in these fantastic views:

We decided to take Bear (the dog) with us on a hike through the Mineral Creek trail.  Nice trail that we were able to let Bear off the leash and run around.  We should have named him Magellan as he needs to always be in the lead.  It was funny when Kat and I hid beyond a curve and Bear got scared and came running back to find us.  Chicken dog.  Beautiful landscape along the way and we even got to play in a culvert:

Great hike!  Bear enjoyed being able to run around and wanted to go further, but we had to head back as Syd needed to be let out.
