On the way to Beaver Creek we stopped and looked at one of the original bridges that the US Army built back in the 1940’s:

Obviously this bridge wasn’t built with the Busse Bus in mind!  Glad that it was rebuilt nearby with concrete.

We also stopped to stretch our legs and walk the dogs at a cute little crepe cafe.  Great crepes, had the nutella one.  Forgot to take a pic, but if you are ever up this way it is the only one for hundreds of miles so you won’t miss it.

Beaver Creek RV Park is a small right off the road stopover on your way up the highway.  Not much to talk about or take pictures of.  We were able to walk to a little restaurant nearby called Buckshot Betty’s.  Outstanding hamburgers and strawberry rhubarb pie – my favorite.  Good, but not as good as my mother used to make.  Or for that matter, even my sister, Janis.
