I didn’t see the sand nor the springs of the namesake for this community just outside of Tulsa, OK. We stayed at the Riverview RV Park (kinda becoming our thing to stay riverside) which was built out of an old rock quarry. On three sides the rocks protruded about 15 feet straight up and the fourth side had a view of the Arkansas River.
Owners were very nice and talkative. I was able to check out using the grill and roasting chicken with a seasoning brought with us from downtown Libertyville. Beer can rub. Yum! Not a whole lot else to do besides work so we caught up on some of our television shows. Good thing we decided on TV instead of Not TV. Outdated spoiler alert: Brynn Cartelli won The Voice.
As I was threading the bike rack back onto the Jeep I striped the threads – both on the Jeep and the screw itself. No way to repair it. Had to google and purchase new one. Katrina found one by Thule (I don’t know how to pronounce it either) that attached to the spare tire. Great! Now we will be able to open up the back tailgate of the jeep without having to take the entire bike rack off anymore.
Huge problem when you are on the road is to coordinate Amazon purchases and deliveries. Need to plan out three or four days in advance and hope the campground will hold your merchandise for you and that it will arrive before or during your stay. This time we didn’t want to chance it and found Tom Sawyer’s Bike Shop in Wichita that ordered it for us. Can only hope it arrives in time.
Dogs are adjusting to life on the road in the Busse Bus. Our older one (13 1/2 years), Sydney, needs help getting up the first step into the coach. Bear as been watching me drive and thinks that he can handle the Busse Bus. I don’t think he’s ready yet so I won’t let him out of the parking lot. Thought I add some pics here so the kids know that they can’t temporarily dog sit whilst we travel.
