A good group of our friends decided to throw us a Farewell Party. Now these are people that we have known for decades. Travelled together, attended children’s graduations, attended each other’s parents funerals, etc. Good friends that you don’t find everywhere or often.
Parties over the years have had to had a theme (Jimmy Buffet, Christmas, Volcanoes, 70’s, Tacky – to name a few). BTW: who currently “owns” the lampshade? This one apparently was going to be no different. Our friends decided that the theme would be “White Trailer Trash” as we were moving into the Busse Bus.
Now they didn’t let us in on the theme so we did not dress appropriately- they did. I have to say that some of them hit the nail on the head and others I didn’t really notice a difference. Here are a few pictures – you decide who “dressed up” and who didn’t.
Nonetheless, we had a fantastic time! We will miss these folks throughout our travels and hope that they come to visit us along the way (but not all at once!). Napa dates are filling up fast.
