When we got back from the wedding in Chicago, we drove to the Westminster Elks Lodge unpacked our suitcases and then packed up the Busse Bus II to move locations.

We caught a fantastic rainbow.

We had one week scheduled at the Cherry Creek Campground which is located near Ari and Matt’s house in southwest Denver. What a beautiful place!

When we arrived, fellow Myakkans, Blake and Becky Johnston had us over to their coach for a wonderful dinner and drinks.

They had invited some other friends over as well, Gary and Connie who were neighbors of theirs at their sticks and bricks outside of Denver. It was so nice not having to worry about making dinner after a long drive! Myakkans are the best!

The next morning the six of us decided to ride bikes on the Cherry Creek bike path. We went into downtown for lunch at Duffy’s Cherry Cricket for burgers.

One of the best burgers I’ve ever had! If you are ever in Denver – go!

When we got back to the campground Ari and Rylan came over for dinner. Rylan loves visiting us in the Busse Bus II.

We showed him the fine art of S’mores.

He loved them! Honestly, who doesn’t?

The next day we headed over to their house to help them with some yard work (and to play with Rylan).

One of us worked, and one of us played! Actually, we both did some of each.

Katrina found decent pickleball play nearby where she went most mornings. Since we were on the Cherry Creek path, I got a chance to ride everyday. Here are some of my pictures:

Great riding! So much so that when Matt returned from flying, we all took a wonderful ride:

So nice to get out in the fresh air!

One night we went to one of Ari and Matt’s favorite restaurants called Crave Mediterranean Grill. Since Blake and Becky were still at the campground, they were able to join the five of us. Great meal! I would recommend going there.

We also went to the Farmer’s Market at Southlands Mall here we tasted and bought some yummy morsels and Rylan got to play in the water.

It was tough not to get as wet as Rylan while watching him!

On our last day there; Ari, Matt, Rylan, Katrina and I went to the Breckenridge Brewery

for a late lunch and to taste some of their brews.

Fun place! Rylan loved running around.

What a great location! Katrina and I are already talking about booking two weeks there next season.
