We took the truck up to our place in Winter Park to spend the next 12 days really getting to enjoy our townhouse. We purchased 1/4 of it in 2023 and as of last June, we purchased another 1/4. Therefore, we now own 1/2 (that high school math is really paying off), which means we can use it two weeks a month. The other two owners are fantastic and between the three of us we trade weeks when needed. We were excited to be back because one of the new owners had recently updated the place with new furniture (including two king sized beds with new mattresses), artwork and knickknacks.

It looked fantastic!

Katrina had a meeting with the other owners and we all decided to paint the accent green walls to the off-white to match the rest of the house. I volunteered and used one of the my last days there painting. I have to admit that having one consistent color throughout looks really nice!

Since Matt, Ari and Rylan moved to Denver in June they can now utilize the townhouse when they want and they came up to visit us. It was great getting to spend so much time with them! I swear that Rylan grew over their time with us.

We went into the Rocky Mountain National Park and hiked, saw animals and thoroughly enjoyed the vistas.

We also ate breakfast, lunch and dinner – go figure.

Got a bike ride in.

Went to the Winter Park Resort and rode the gondola and strolled around the base.

Explored Grand Lake area.

Listened to some music in the park in downtown Winter Park.

Just hanging out.

All-in-all, just a fantastic family time!

The Town of Winter Park, along with the Winter Park Resort recently announced that they will be building a new Gondola to connect the town to the resort. The terminus is slated to be within walking distance of our place! They are also going to be adding more ski runs on the mountains near our place. I can’t wait to see this take place. Perhaps we purchased in a highly attractive location! If anyone wants to go skiing or mountain biking in Winter Park – let us know and we can hook you up!
