We left Hearthside Grove in the rain as we drove south back to Traverse Bay RV Resort. We got a different site that was on one of the many ponds. Very nice!

We got there early enough to head up to the Traverse City Horse Shows to watch Jessie Minton compete.

We were in the audience with her husband Kris and his mom, Gwen. We know the Minton’s from the Myakka River Motorcoach Resort as they used to own there. After years of hearing about Jessie’s riding, it was great to watch her hurdle the obstacles.

So exciting! We even got to watch an international competition where we stayed under the tent during the rain and ate some pizza. Fun afternoon!
We got back to the coach and found out that other fellow Myakkans, Ron and Ann Hodges, were staying at the same resort. We got together with them for dinner in downtown Traverse City. Drinks at Bushell’s Kitchen and Cocktails and then over to Dillinger’s Pub for dinner.

Nice evening catching up with the Hodges!
I was able to take my bike in to get a new tire and tube at Einstein Cycles. They had a tire that worked although not the same type nor color of my original. Beggars cannot be choosers! They worked me into their schedule and completed the work in the same day. Katrina drove me back down to the shop and I was able to ride back to Traverse Bay RV. Good to be back riding again after a three day hiatus.
That evening we had tickets to see Tyrus from the Gutfeld! show. Tyrus started out his career as a wrestler with the National Wrestling Alliance where he became a World’s Heavyweight Champion. After that he was a bodyguard for Snoop Dog before being “discovered” by Greg Gutfeld where he became a guest panelist before securing a full time gig with the show.

He was really funny!

We enjoyed the show tremendously and we were even able to take pictures with him after the event.

Tyrus is really big (although he lost a bunch of weight recently) and Katrina wanted to see the difference for herself.

Yep, he’s a big dude!
We headed back to the Busse Bus II for the night as we were heading out the following morning. Very nice stop!
