I got up to our campground at Camp Reinberg in Palatine, IL by about 1:30 and Katrina and Rylan showed up shortly thereafter.

After we got set up we had time to entertain Rylan before meeting up with Ari and Matt. We used our blocks to see how tall Rylan was:

Isn’t he adorable?
Katrina (Sassy – Grandma name) loves her Rylan:

All of us headed out to Emil’s to grab some pizza. Emil’s was one of our stomping grounds restaurants when we lived in Mundelein.

It was fun revisiting the place.
On Saturday Katrina and I got caught up on daily life tasks (laundry, etc.).
Sunday came and we went to my niece, Jeanette’s house for a farewell dinner for Ari, Matt and Rylan. It was very nice to see Melissa, her husband Brian, Jeanette and her husband Danny with their children, and my sister-in-law Shirley. Thank you for the dinner!
Monday was the last day that Ari, Matt, Rylan and Kylo were in their first house.

Goodbye Vernon Hills and Illinois! Hello Colorado (well in a few days of driving)!

On their way out they stopped by the Busse Bus II to have a pancake breakfast. So good to see them one more time before their big trek!
Katrina and I had to pack up the coach and move on because Camp Reinberg had the entire place rented out for the week to the Girl Scouts. We headed over to a Harvest Host – Tighthead Brewery nearby in Mundelein.
