We left San Antonio and headed over to north Houston to stay at a Harvest Host called Fortress Beerworks.

After getting settled we went in to try their beer.

They had some interesting artwork!

We talked with one of the investors and learned that three brewers merged together: Fortress, 11 Below, and B52. I tried one of the mexican lagers called Taco Tuesday which included lime and sea salt. It was delish! Unfortunately they didn’t have any canned that I could take with us.
From there we met up with Becky Gardipee for an early dinner at Gringo’s Mexican Restaurant.

We had met Becky and her husband, Alan while attending a Newmar Fulltimers Rally a few years ago. Unfortunately Alan passed away in May. He was always so jovial and fun to be around and we miss him deeply.

It was great seeing Becky and spending a few hours with her.
We returned to the coach and got caught up on some TV before retiring for the evening. Up early the next morning for a long drive to New Orleans.
