We left Granby where we had parked the Busse Bus and headed south through Colorado (sun a beautiful drive on I-25 along the Rocky Mountains, then about an hour into New Mexico we stopped just outside of Clayton

at Mountain View.

We had almost a two hour delay coming out from the Berthoud Pass on I-70 going into Denver.

It really sucks when you already have over a six hour drive! Ugh, construction season!

The Harvest Host was previously a Boondockers site. Harvest Hosts purchased the Boondockers franchise a couple of years ago which expanded their sites to well over 5,000 locations. I believe that the difference between the two organizations was that Harvest Hosts were businesses while Boondockers was individuals who would allow campers to spend the night. Either way, Mountain View had two “cabins” and an RV site available to stay at. The RV site even had full hook ups for $20 bucks. Here’s our site:

Nice area! I’m not sure what is around here that would attract overnighters as we were just passing through. However, I would recommend staying here if you are ever passing by (or staying).
