We left the heat of the Mojave Desert and drove to Las Vegas only to find the temperature there was 109! We passed by some interesting views on the way:

We stayed at the beautiful Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort where we had been a few times before (therefore no pictures of the resort itself). After getting set up (which wasn’t easy as the site was small because it was built out), we had some time to kill before going to see the Sphere and hit our dinner reservations afterwards.

Check out our site:

Beautiful! Plus we got to use all of the facilities!

The sphere was amazing, although it seemed to us that it was a combination of Disney’s Soaring and Disney’s It’s Tough to be a Bug! Here’s what it looks like on the outside:

On the inside there were a couple of “attractions” that we listened to and participated in. We really enjoyed the music one where the different instruments could be heard depending on which bar of light you were standing on. Very cool!

Here’s what the sphere looks like on the inside:

The show itself portrayed some beautiful images of earth with a message of how much mankind is screwing it up.

In the end, humankind sent out two people (one of each sex) in pods to new worlds to save us. Kinda seemed like Adam and Eve. Couldn’t help to think of how long it would take for them to screw up their new world.

Afterwards we had dinner at Musashi Japanese Steakhouse which was recommended to us by Trevor Pope back up in Lake Tahoe.

We were the only ones at our teppanaki table and our chef, Tiger, owned the place. What a wonderful meal! Tiger’s sauces were unbelievable! Thank you Trevor for the recommendation!

The following day it cooled down to 106! Some cold front! Katrina found some pickleball and I took care of some business during the day. We decided to grill out

since the place we rented provided an awesome venue.

Afterwards we headed to the Resorts World Theatre to see Carrie Underwood. What a fantastic venue:

Carrie was great!

Obviously Carrie changed outfits very often! Nice evening!

The following day we hung by the coach before heading out to dinner at Jaleo, a tapas restaurant that was also recommended to us by Trevor.

Wonderful Tapas! Albeit a bit expensive, but what the hell, it’s Vegas baby!

From there we went to the Cirque Du Soleil at the Resorts World Las Vegas.

What a wonderful show complete with acrobatics and a pool that was filled and emptied so quickly that it was amazing.

What a fantastic show! I LOVE Cirque Du Soleil!

After the show we tried to get into the speakeasy called “The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails” in the Cosmopolitan. Unfortunately I was dressed in shorts (did I mention that it was 106 degrees?) and therefore our money wasn’t any good. We settled on a drink at the three story “Chandelier” located near the gaming tables. Expensive drinks!

We headed back to the Busse Bus as we planned on leaving the next morning and we had a lot of preparation to complete.
