We left Glasgow and had a four hour drive to get to the Canadian border. Before we crossed we made sure that we dieseled up and filled our DEF tank. DEF is required on all diesel vehicles and it stands for Diesel Exhaust Fluid which “cleans” the air coming out of the exhaust. Anyway, we wanted our tanks full as diesel and DEF are much more expensive in Canada.

Closing the border was painless.

The border control agent looked ant our passports asked us a few questions and we were on our way.

We had another three and a half hour drive until we reached our destination in Pincher Creek, AB, Canada. We stayed at the Pincher Creek Veteran’s Memorial Campground for the night.

And got spots next to each other:

Since the town had a “river walk” I was able to take Bear for a nice long walk after he was cooped up all day in the coach.

He really wanted to jump into the creek!

It was the Wills 17th wedding anniversary but because of the long drive we weren’t able to properly celebrate the occasion. We will have to do something special along the way.

The next morning we were able to lounge around a bit before heading up to Banff.
