This was the first Harvest Host site that we had stayed at that was actually a campground.
Seems counterintuitive to have “free” sites within the campground to me. We were supposed to park in the tent area on grass, but because there was recent rain we just parked on the gravel roadway as there wasn’t any other activity going on.
Since we were in Sturgis, South Dakota, there are many low end campgrounds to accommodate all the people during biker week. I would classify this place as a decent biker campground because they seem to cater to that clientele including a beer barn.
It was a cheap stop along the way. The next morning we were off to Montana and meeting up with Jeff and Molli Wills to start out on our Alaskan adventure.
