We left the Smiths and continued our trek west with our destination Pender, Nebraska. Never heard of Pender? Me either. It happens to be the home of Blue Ox,

the tow bar that we use to tow the truck. The owners must of grown up listening to the tale of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox when they were little ;).

Since we planned on a long trip this summer we thought it would be a good idea to have it serviced. The last maintenance item on our list.

What a wonderful company with outstanding customer service! Our appointment was set for 9:00am on May 31st but during the drive over we realized that it was a very long drive for us on the 1st. Katrina called and asked our service specialist, Chad, if there was any way that the work could be done on the 30th. Chad met us as we were driving into their free campground, took the tow bar, had it serviced and brought it back out to us within two hours! Now, that’s service!

Since we were at their headquarters, the labor was free and all we had to pay for was parts. $133.75 later. Oh well, at least we feel comfortable towing up to Alaska. With our last maintenance item completed, we were ready to turn north towards Canada and meet up with Jeff and Molli Wills whom we would travel with for the next few months.
