Good thing that we decided to stay with Barb and Bob over night because when we checked in and got to our spot it was so uneven that we had to move. The Jellystone Park Camp-Resort

While Bear and I were maintaining the Busse Bus at Jellystone, Katrina was spending time with our daughter, Ariana and her (Katrina’s) mother, Rita. They were preparing for Ariana’s Baby Shower. Ariana is having a baby boy due on September 16th. Katrina and I can’t wait to become grandparents! We have already picked out our grandparent names: Katrina will be Sassy and I will be Papo.
When I dropped Katrina off at Ariana’s and Matt’s house and then Katrina picked up Rita from O’Hare we were able to have dinner at Nirvana:
The next day the women were able to have a “girlie” day with lunch and mani/pedis:
The actual baby shower was hosted at the clubhouse of our niece Jeanette’s clubhouse in Lake Forest, IL. Getting the place ready:

A great group of women ranging from Arianas friends and co-workers, Katrinas friends, neighbors, and family.

Afterwards, a group of the women went over to see Jeanette’s house which her and her husband, Danny have been renovating for the past five years.
The house is historic as it was the summer home for the Kings, a prominent family from Chicago. Their daughter, Genevieve was the apple of the eye of an up-and-coming author by the name of F. Scott Fitzgerald. Well, Genevieve King jilted Fitzgerald and married a wealthy suitor. Afterwards Fitzgerald wrote “The Great Gatsby”.
What a wonderful celebration!
