Since we got a later start than anticipated we did not get into Memphis until about 6:30pm which gave us enough time to get set up, walk Bear and get ready ourselves before heading out to dinner with Lane & Blair Billings. Katrina and Blair worked together years ago at BeautiControl and we had taken many earned trips with them all over the world. We met them at The Butcher Shop Steakhouse Cordova which sits very near the Agricenter International RV Park where we were staying.
It was so great seeing them and catching up on life. We attended their daughter’s wedding two years ago and now they have a nine-month old grandson George. Since we had had a long and frustrating day we headed back to the coach to get some rest.
The next day Katrina and I went to their house where Kat and Blair attempted to play a new game called Speedminton. Badminton with larger rackets and a smaller birdie. That birdie can sure fly! Lane had to work so I worked on the blog. It’s so good having great WiFi! Once Lane returned we headed over to Willow Grove Farms to teach them pickleball.
What a great little place that has six outdoor courts and four indoor courts are being built. It’s 15 acres and also had four houses in VRBO and five RV sites. Next time we are in town we plan on staying there. The pickleball was fun, Lane and Blair picked it up fast:
We even met the owner, Larry who is also a pickleball pro who offers his services to people at his place.
He also offers annual memberships at Willow Grove Farms. Quite the entrepreneur!
After getting cleaned up with headed out for a taco dinner downtown called Pretty Tacos. On the drive down we were able to stop at their daughter Jessica’s house to meet George.
George was enamored with Katrina’s mirrored sunglasses. Jessica and Casey are so proud of their baby boy. He (meaning George, not Casey) is so cute! I guess Casey is good looking too.
Pretty Tacos was a great recommendation as the food was very tasty, the service was great and we had a great time playing with the props:
What fun! This was a nice place for our last get together on this shortened visit.
Thank you Lane and Blair for hosting the Busse Bus once again! Always enjoy stopping by.
The following morning we were up and out on our way to Saint Louie.
