It’s always fun for us to travel to Walt Disney World (WDW) as we have been fans for decades.
It’s even more exciting when one of your children can join you. That was the case when Keenan flew into Orlando and we picked him up at the airport. We stayed in the Busse Bus at Fort Wilderness inside of Disney property. Since I have talked about the campground before I will not go into detail here, so know that it is beautiful, somewhat dated, and expensive. Except for this cute picture of Bear:
The Magic Kingdom was celebrating it’s 50 anniversary so it was exciting to see the park decked out:
Night time pictures:
It was the first time that we had seen the light projections on the castle. Mesmerizing! Since it was November, WDW was also fully decorated for the Christmas season. Beautiful.
We, of course, rode the rides and saw the shows:
We love the corny “Dad” jokes on the Jungle Cruise. For those of you that have been there and challenged Zurn at Buzz Lightyear check this score out:
I finally did it (with Keenan’s help telling me where to shoot)!
Disney Studios was fantastic as we were able to visit the newer Star Wars area.
What a spectacular ride! Rise of the Resistance! Less of a ride and more of an experience. We also enjoyed Oga’s Cantina:
Very unique libations and appetizers! A must stop for all!
Check out this addition to the Rock N Roller Coaster while waiting in line:
A little Disney magic! The Tower of Terror is still one of my favorite rides:
Animal Kingdom was wild (pun intended). The Flight of Passage ride was incredible, here’s a picture from the outside:
The “sky islands” are an engineering marvel. Disney magic is even carried over to their staff pictures:
EPCOT was also fantastic!
I am Groot.
The new attractions that we focused on were Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
And the Space 220 Restaurant that “whisks” you up into space through a space elevator:
Even Groot enjoyed the experience:
Other EPCOT pictures:
All-in-all we had a marvelous time visiting with Keenan at one of our family’s favorite getaways. Thanks for coming and visiting us Keenan! We had a magical time!
