We left Amarillo and drove over 250 miles with heavy cross winds again. I was happy to stop for gas and take a break. Once stopped and ready to pump diesel, I could not find my TSD card that gives us tremendous discounts on fuel. The listed price was $3.75 and with the card it was $3.08 a gallon. Obviously we needed to find the card. Katrina to the rescue! She called the vendor and was able to get the discount without the card. They are sending us a new one!

Once we got back on the road we heard loud clapping on the drivers side of the coach. Apparently the side topper cover was flopping in the strong winds. We had to pull over and adjust the cover. All good – for about five miles and then it starting flopping again. Oh well, we kinda got used to the beat.

We pulled into Oklahoma City and parked at an Harvest Host called Thunder Roadhouse Cafe and Off-track Betting.

They had a huge gravel parking lot in the back:

After getting set up we went inside to check it out. We never realized that establishments all allowed smoking! We had a quick drink and an appetizer. Standard bar food!

Afterwards we ran some errands and then settled in for the evening. One errand was to pick up some home brew beer kits as I plan to start brewing again once back home in Myakka.

For dinner Katrina made wonderful grilled romaine lettuce:

It was delicious!

The next morning we were up and out continuing our trek east and south. Our plan was a few more stops visiting friends before getting to Myakka.
