The three of us (Tom Connor & Alice Clark, Steve & Laurie Chubb, and Ed and Katrina Busse) left the balloon fiesta for a short drive to Santa Fe where we stayed at the Santa Fe Skies RV Park.
Nice place where we got to park next to each other.
Since Santa Fe is an artsy kind of town, it was only fitting that the RV Park had that theme. Check out the some of the artwork strategically placed (scattered) around the campground:
Alice was proactive and scheduled a dinner/show for us and other Myakkans, John & Sherry Murphy and their friends, at the Inn at Vanessie. What a great place (crowded) for both the food and listening to the guy on the piano (pianist). Before the dinner we stopped for drinks at the Thunderbird Bar and Grill on the square.
The following day I had to take Katrina to the Urgent Care as her throat was really hurting her. I’m not sure how “urgent” the care was as it took us three hours! Turns out that she had an abscessed tonsil! Some antibiotics and Ibuprofen to the rescue.
We stayed close to the Busse Bus until later when Katrina rallied and we went over to the Chubb’s coach to celebrate Alice’s birthday:
It was so nice to spend time with Alice on her special day!
It was iffy if we were going to continue on with our adventure with Tom, Alice, Steve and Laurie as Katrina was told to stay near a hospital in case her tonsil needed to get drained. Since she felt better the next morning, we said our goodbyes to the Murphy’s and the three coaches carried on. Next stop was Pagosa Springs in Colorado.
