We drove up from the Bluffton area to the Spartanburg NE / Gaffney KOA. We just needed one night there as the Busse Bus was getting chassis maintenance done the next day at the Freightliner headquarters in Gaffney. In the past year, the campground added more spaces which accommodate the bigger rigs much easier. They even paved the spots which is always nice.
The next day we headed to Gaffney for the Busse Bus’s Three Year / 45,000 mile maintenance work done. I can’t believe that we have been in our coach for three years!
While the work was being done, we headed off to find lunch and settled at Daddy Joe’s Beach House BBQ and Grill.
I mean, why won’t you stop at a “beach house” restaurant hundreds of miles from the Atlantic Ocean? Well, it won the Golden Peach of 2021, whatever that is. The place was fun, crowded and had good food.
Upon returning to Freightliner, the Busse Bus had new oil and we were ready to roll (after paying the $1,500 bill). Our next stop was up the road north about 50 miles – plenty of time to drive up before dinner.
