Since we were heading to the Atlanta area, we transverse across our southern states and spent the night at the Hoover Metropolitan Complex in Hoover, AL. Hoover is just south of Birmingham, which is south of Huntsville where Katrina and I met so many years ago. The complex is an arena for sports, concerts and events and had a small area with RV hook ups. We got a space on the end of a row where Bear could play.

One of Katrina’s good friends (and roommate when we met), Tamara Burkard, her husband Bill, and their daughter Rayna came down to see us and the Busse Bus. We were able to show them our rig and explain to them our lifestyle:

They were really interested in seeing our map and learning about our favorite sites.

We headed out for a Mexican dinner at a local place that was open with indoor seating. The food was pretty good and the margaritas we really good. All-in-all a great evening of catching up!

Thank you Burkard’s for driving all the way down to see us! We appreciate it!
