We left National Indoor RV Center with a new windshield and new clothes washer and very excited to have them completed. We headed down to the Willcox wine country area of Arizona to stay at the Pillsbury Wine Company which is a Harvest Hosts site. Unfortunately, the winery was closed when we were there, but they let us set up camp outside.

Beautiful location!

We wanted to hit a local winery (that was open) so we headed down the street to the Bodega Pierce / Saeculum vineyards.

We were the only ones there and that meant that we were able to talk with the owners. Sitting outside, they explained a few of the sights:

The shiny object that you can see on top of the mountain is one of the many Papal Observatories scattered around the world. Papal? Really? I never knew that the Catholic Church had observatories.

Cochise’s head laying down. Do you see him?

After tasting a flight we ended up purchasing a few of the reds. Then we headed into Willcox for dinner at the Big Tex Bar-B-Que which is located inside an old train dining car.

We got the food to go. On the drive back we were able to catch some pretty sunsets:

What a wonderful way to wrap up a beautiful day!
