Katrina and I were both sad to be leaving Idaho. I have to tell you that we loved the state. So much more than we had expected. Oh well, we needed to continue our adventure.

We cruised down from Twin Falls to Salt Lake City following “The Cat House” (Brown Newmar Mountain Aire with Stan driving). It is really nice just following someone else and not really having to think about the drive. We pulled into “The Pony Express” campground which is a Sun RV Resort property. The place was really nice although the sites were a bit close together. We were able to park next to the Browns again. I took Bear for a walk and he found a boulder to jump on:

He still thinks that he is part mountain goat!

The Browns had an appointment with Freightliner scheduled for the next day so they pulled up stakes and headed over there for their 7:00am start time.

We had friends in SLC area that we knew from the Chicago area as their son, Michael, played soccer with Keenan for a few years in high school. The Elhers (Jennifer, Butch and their daughter Madeline) stopped by the Busse Bus to check it out. Apparently, Jennifer is the Number One fan of this blog as she showed the rest of her family around the coach! We took their picture in front of the blocks:

and had her adhere the Utah State to our map!

We all went out for dinner at Squatters Brewery. Good food, good times and great catching up with them!

Afterwards, we drove around the downtown area to see the Mormon Temple and the Capitol building.

The following day Katrina and I headed to RF Mogul to have them change our satellite from DirecTV to DISH Network. After two+ years with DirecTV, we have had enough. Terrible service, no local channels and price increases. DISH is supposed to be better with us traveling folks. We hear that you can log into your account and change your zip code and local channels appear. I’ll let you know.

The Browns returned from Freightliner with their maintenance completed and the little leak in their coolant line found and repaired. Bear was so excited to see “Uncle Stan” again. We decided to eat dinner in.

We used the rest of our time in SLC to catch up on mail, order supplies, and took a breather.
