We heading west out of Breckenridge on I-70 as we worked our way over to Utah. I-70 is a bit bumpy, resulting in this:
All of Katrina’s hanging clothes “hopped” off the rack! Now, that’s bumpy!
To break up the drive to Utah, we stopped at the Glenwood Springs West / Colorado River KOA.
Nice place that appears to be under expansion. Right on the Colorado River. Bear loved that – we let him play in the river although it was very cold but he didn’t seem to mind.
I gotta tell you that I’d lied about our location – we actually stayed in Silt, CO, not Glenwood Springs. But doesn’t that sound better than we stayed in Silt?
We did drive back to Glenwood Springs to spend 2 1/2 hours at the Iron Mountain Hot Springs. Why 2.5 hours? Due to COVID-19 the hours were limited and you had to reserve a time to attend. That was good for us as each of the fourteen hot springs pools only had a couple of people using it. Each pool specialized in a specific mineral.
I like the Zinc pool much more than the Magnesium one because it smelled better! I couldn’t really tell a difference regarding the water.
After soaking, we drove into the downtown area to walk around and have dinner at the Kenai Pho & Japanese Cuisine restaurant. The food was good! The area was cool:
Had to get going to move towards Utah for our 48th state! I think that it will be good to get out of the silt.
